Designed without the need for a chimney or flue, the Flex 140 gives you complete creative freedom. Install it as a dramatic centrepiece within a feature wall, incorporate it into cabinetry or a traditional fireplace surround, or use it as an architectural element within your interior design.

Constructed from premium-grade steel and toughened glass, the Flex 140 offers lasting durability, stability, and a refined finish. Its versatile design makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The Flex 140 is available with a Decorative Box positioned on either the left or right side. A glass panel separates the box from the firebox, creating a sleek, balanced profile and adding visual depth to the overall design. With its crisp lines and modern finish, it can turn almost any wall into a standout feature.

One of the longest flames available in the Flex Series is created by using 3 of our ever-popular XL900 Burners. With an overall heating capacity of 180m2 this appliance is best suited to large open spaces - think hotel lobby, large open plan restaurants. 

For the one-box configuration with three XL900 burners, each burner holds 9L of fuel and offers a listed burn time of 8–13 hours. Suitability depends on the selected configuration, room volume and the manufacturer’s installation requirements, rather than whether the setting is residential or commercial.

The Bioethanol True Zero-Clearance Fireplace

The self-contained, zero-clearance Flex Fireplace Insert offers flexible design options without a chimney or flue. Installation, including framing into wood or metal studs, must follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the chosen style and burner configuration. Confirm room-volume, ventilation, clearance and finishing-material requirements before installation.

Room-size and ventilation requirements

The listed minimum room volume is 330m³ for the one-box configuration with three XL900 burners, and 230m³ for the BX2 configuration with two XL1200 burners. These are room-volume requirements, not floor-area measurements. Follow the manufacturer’s installation and operating instructions, including ventilation requirements. Heating performance varies with configuration, installation and fuel composition.

Flex 140DB Double-Sided Fireplace Insert

With two open sides, the Flex Double-Sided fireplace insert creates the perfect room divider. The see-through design provides unobstructed views of the flickering flame from the front and the back, infusing warmth and ambience into two adjacent rooms.

Flex 140PN Peninsula Fireplace Insert

Designed as a room divider, the Peninsula Fireplace Insert features three open sides, enabling the mesmerising flame to be viewed from any direction - the front, back and open side.

The three transparent sides create an eye-catching focal point and provide the perfect solution for heating multiple rooms, integrating within commercial/hospitality spaces and dividing open floor plans.

Flex 140IL Island Fireplace Insert

The zero-clearance Flex Island fireplace insert is designed as a room divider, with four open sides enabling the hypnotic flame to be viewed from the front, back, left and right sides. The UL Listed Flex Island models come with a base component that holds the burner and a top component that lines the bulkhead above. Ideal for creating a suspended fireplace wall.

Designed as a room divider or stunning centrepiece with all open sides, the mesmerising flame can be viewed from the top, front, back, left and right sides. With the Flex Bench fireplace insert, the entire viewing area is dedicated to the flame, creating a harmonious blend of the traditional fire pit and contemporary fire design.
